Scouts Dragon Award - 2008 & 2009

The dragon award is a series of challenges to get us outside. The dragon award is a Welsh initiative that challenges all scouts to who think they are tough enough - oh and leaders can earn this to!

The challenge for the bronze award is to camp one night each month for a whole year! You can track our progress below!

September

The first test. We loaded the PIGG up with all the kit and went to the new campsite. We are going to be developing this area over the year in to a nice place to camp. We watched films on a TV mounted in the back of the PIGG and ate burgers and hotdogs!

In PIGG entertainment system The PIGG is a playground on it's own!

October

No films this time but a light drizzle and very windy! In fact the PIGG tent blew down and Skip's had to camp in the PIGG (light weights eh)!

Novemeber

It rained! Not only is it getting colder but the chance of rain is getting greater! Its a good job the scouts could get thier tents up quickly whilst the leaders get the PIGG shelter sorted.

December

Cold was the main thought for this camp but thankfully(?!) dry. Skip woke up and looked out to find himself covered in ice and frost - that'll teach him not to take a tent!
