History of 1st Pontnewydd Scout Group
1st Pontnewydd Scout group was the first group within the now Torfaen scout district. It was originally set up in 1910 in the district of Monmouthshire.
In 2008 we have started to plan our centenary year and have gone back to our old colours. The colours are Maroon and Burnt Amber. These colours were assigned by the district of Monmouthshire when the group was first formed. The Maroon is the Monmouthshire colour and the Burnt Amber is our unique colour. Our members wear the colours with pride.
